Paris Fashion Week: October 2011

It's that time of year again. The time when Paris' infinite beauty becomes even more enviable as the fashionistas bejewel the city with their airs of elegance draped in covetous couture.  In case you don't remember, I am lawyer turned fashionista want-to-be and am currently working as an assistant buyer during Paris Fashion Week.  This is my third season, and I love every minute of my time in the fashion houses legends are made of.  Ms. Buyer arrived in Paris from Milan on Monday and so the fun began.

Balenciaga, who is usually the bell of the ball, has been all the chatter this week.  Rumor has it the benches collapsed at the fashion show on Friday and A-listers, including names like Anna Wintour, were forced to stand (major gasp) for the show.   PR stunt or embarassingly low quality furniture, no one can know for sure.  Nevertheless, the collection was just as show stopping as usual.

A few highlights.

Fabulous color.

And you thought shorts were short before this season....

Accessories, accessories.  How fabulous are these shoes?!

OMG.

And the bags....

Yes, please.

We also made our first trip to Jason Wu.  Beautiful, beautiful unique pieces.  I love this modern day princess look.

Stay tuned for lots more to come!  Bisous, bisous.
